Lunch and Learn - MXI

In 2001 MXI built a custom Materials Recovery Facility in Abingdon to provide services for universal and industrial waste disposal management and offer beneficial reuse of exempt hazardous waste.  The MRF has a Distilled Spirits Plant onsite, enabling MXI to recycle and reclaim fuel grade ethanol from streams containing alcohol.  In 2015, MXI started the latex paint operation at the Redwood Facility to augment the MRF and add latex paint to the long list of materials recycled by MXI.  

Join Jonathon Linder, MRF Manager, to learn about how a challenging material many municipalities collect is recycled.  On the tour, we'll see:  the latex processing area, the latex formulation laboratory, the blending/filtering station,  finished product storage area, and the feed stock storage area.  Before the tour, enjoy a networking lunch.  The tour is $15 for VRA members and $25 for non-members.   Tour is limited to 20 people.
