Lunch and Learn - Royal Oak Farm

Please join us for a lunch and learn opportunity for VRA members to visit Royal Oak Farm in Bedford County.  Royal Oak Farm is the largest composting facility in Virginia and is operated by Ken and Barbara Newman. Royal Oak Farm is the premiere producer of high quality composts, top soils and specialty soils in Virginia. Ken will be speaking about his operations and we will tour the facility.  

Cost:  $15 VRA members, $25 non-members

10:00am - 12:00pm   Presentation and tour

12:30pm    Lunch catered by Liberty Station at Falling Creek Center 

2 CEU hours are available for this lunch and learn.

Directions to Royal Oak Farm:

 

Heading 460 West, turn left onto Route 811, New London Road. (Sheetz and Exxon at intersection)

Go until stop sign and take a right onto Wyatt's Way.

Go 1.3 miles and turn left onto Orrix Creek Road.

Royal Oak is 2 miles on the right and you will see signs.

Heading 460 East, turn right onto Route 811, New London Road. (Sheetz and Exxon at intersection)

Go until stop sign and take a right onto Wyatt's Way.

Go 1.3 miles and turn left onto Orrix Creek Road.

Royal Oak is 2 miles on the right and you will see signs.
