Please join us for a VRA Lunch and Learn opportunity to see glass manufacturing in action. Learn more about how O-I uses recycled glass in their manufacturing process - and what we can do to improve the way we recycle glass in Virginia.
The O-I Glass Toano Plant makes 1.9 million bottles everyday. The tour will visit the cullet piles (recycled glass) and move to the furnace where glass and the three other raw materials (sand, soda ash and lime stone) and melted and then poured into molding machines to form the bottles, cooled down and finally the packing for shipment to their customers.
